What to Expect When You Visit
What can you expect when you come to visit us?
-
Our service starts at 10:15 and is over at 11:15.
-
Our services are traditional, but not formal. We sing hymns and often follow the lectionary
readings, but we don't stand on ceremony.
-
You will see a variety of clothing styles at the church. Wear what you are comfortable
wearing.
-
We share the building with the Korean Church of Boston, which holds services before and after our
service, so you are likely to see a number of our Korean brothers and sisters grouped in and around
the building.
-
When you come, we will greet you with a smile, a hymnal, and a bulletin. We collect the hymnals
after the service. There are English Bibles in the pews.
-
When we pass the peace, we leave our seats and greet as many as we can. We may shake hands or hug
each other. You are welcome to join in the fray or to remain in your seat, to receive handshakes or
to refrain, as you prefer.
-
Children are welcome to stay with you in the service. Children age 3 and older are also welcome to
join us in Jesus Club, which meets in the church office downstairs
after the children's message.
- A cry nursery is available for parents with very small children. Audio from the service can be
heard in the cry nursery.
- After service, we leave through the front of the sanctuary, gathering for light snacks in the
fellowship hall. We hope you'll stay and get acquainted.
