Sign up to be a part of a volunteer crew with folks from other churches in the Boston Presbytery through Mission at the Eastward (MATE)! MATE is a cooperative parish of eight churches and five ministries in rural, West Central Maine and works with other partner congregations. Sharing in worship, pastoral ministry and outreach with the larger community, MATE witnesses to the Gospel's promise of wholeness. The goal of the work trip is to repair housing for poor and elderly people in Central Maine. Each summer, members of churches in the Presbytery of Boston travel to Maine to assist in this rural mission through building and work projects. This year's week will be July 17 - 22, though you may come for just part of that time. Skilled and unskilled laborers welcome. We will stay in a dorm at the University of Maine, Farmington and cook meals at the Henderson Baptist Church. If you cannot attend, but would like to donate to those who are in need of scholarship funds, please see Jean Bopp.
