Past Mission Projects

Boston Rescue Mission Dinners

We periodically prepare a meal for the residents and guests at the Boston Rescue Mission. For these dates, we may need people to help prepare food ahead of time, and about 6 people to serve the dinner at the Mission. (It's a pretty small kitchen.)

Operation Christmas Child

The past two years we have filled shoeboxes with small items as Christmas gifts for children around the world, as part of Operation Christmas Child.

Camp Wilmot Work Day

In August 2009, members David Dorer, Andréa Kerr and Jean Bopp traveled to Camp Wilmot in New Hampshire for a day of light work. They helped the camp staff close down for the summer and cleaned up some of the cabins.

MATE Work

In July 2010, elder Kelsey Bogdan and members David Bogdan and Jean Bopp served with other members of the Boston Presbytery to work on renovations of homes of the rural elderly and poor in central Maine, through Mission at the Eastward (MATE).

Individuals on Mission Trips

In 2008 and 2010, Ramesh and Sheba Telore went to India to meet with churches as part of their ongoing micro-enterprise effort, through Emmanuel Gospel Center.

Member Ted Kulik went to Syria in October 2008, to meet with Christians who live in Syria and Iraq. The trip was organized by Peachtree Presbyterian Church in Atlanta, in partnership with Iraq Network of PC(USA).

Also in October 2008, Reverend Alison Moore traveled to southern Africa to meet with Christians there.
