Lenten Prayer

Lent is a time of prayer and reflection, as we walk with Christ through his temptation in the wilderness, and through his path to the cross. This year, as a congregation, we are intentional about making this journey through prayer.

Sacred Space for Lent 2008

Sometimes it is hard to contemplate doing something new--particularly something that could really change us. We invite you to join with us as we explore making sacred space daily during Lent, using the Sacred Space for Lent 2008 booklet, which is available free at the church.

Sacred Space for Lent 2008

The "method" of prayer in this book is simple:

We have started a new blog (http://fpcbsacredspace.blogspot.com/) to share our experiences as we enter this prayer time together. Please join us and share your insights, your questions, and anything that you notice happening as you pray. (You'll need a Gmail account to post comments, but it's easy--and free--to create one. Just go to the Gmail home page and click "Sign Up for Gmail" to get an account.)

Wednesday Prayer Together

Each Wednesday during Lent, we will meet in the church office (at the bottom of the stairs) at 7:00pm for prayer.

This prayer time will include some quiet prayer, modeled after the Sacred Space structure, and some "regular," out loud prayer, where we together share our joys and concerns with God.

Come join us for any or all of these sessions. Come when you can. If we are already in prayer, just pull up a chair and join in. You are welcome.
