We have two classes currently running this spring/summer. Elder Bob Stephens teaches a study of Paul's letter to the church at Rome, on Sundays after church (noon-ish) in the church office. Elder Kris Engdahl is leading an exploration of God's gifts to us as individuals and as a community, on Thursday evenings and/or Saturday mornings, also in the church office.
Led by: Elder Bob Stephens
Romans is Paul's theological masterpiece, inspiring Augustine, Luther, and others. It is, as Bob says, "The Gospel According to Paul." Please read the passage for the week before coming to class, and be prepared for lively discussion!
The schedule is as follows:
Led by: Elder Kris Engdahl
Everyone is made with God's personal touch. No one is without unique gifts of God's grace. What are your gifts? What are the gifts God has given us as a community? How can exploring these gifts guide our lives as individuals and as a community of faith? Let's devote some time to discovering together.
Our first meeting is Thursday, May 15, 6:30 - 8:00pm, including a light supper. A group of people for whom Thursday doesn't work will meet on Saturday mornings, from 10:00 - 11:00 or so, over coffee. If Thursday turns out to be a bad time for everyone, we'll just meet on Saturday. Otherwise, we'll run two "sections."
Please invest in something to record your work in the way you most prefer: A notebook in your favorite size or configuration, a sketch pad, a roll of craft paper, computer files, audio tapes, digital / audio recording space -- whatever is most comfortable for you. For more information, email Kris.
